Annnouncements And Other Sundry

After a week of campaigning and about killing myself, I came to the conclusion that I need to take a break from the grassroots work and return to the realm of ideas and writing.
Over the last few months, God has been teaching me a lot about seasons and changing. A year ago, I would have been happy campaigning for a living; now, that’s changed. I’m being sent out of the grassroots and back to the blogosphere and I’m happy with that.
I’ve been asked quite a few times over the last few weeks, which Presidential candidate I support for the Republican Nomination. After the Washington Briefing I’ve come to the conclusion that Tancredo is an amazing candidate, however, he doesn’t have the name recognition to make it out of primaries. Mike Huckabee on the other hand is about the same on the issues I care about and has a bit more of a chance. So right now, I’m supporting Huckabee and Tancredo.

While I was at the Washington Briefing I met up with fellow blogger Tim Sweetman of Agent Tim Online. During TeenPact’s Back To DC I was ordered to run for President for The Leadership Institute’s “Race To The White House” and won by a nice margin.

Earlier this week I traveled to Virginia again to campaign for Jeff Frederick and meet up with Alex. I left early due to my uncle’s death in Florida. My grandparents are having a hard time with it, so your prayers for peace in my family this week would be greatly appreciated. The Funeral is Wednesday afternoon.
Lastly, I happened upon a verse that really blessed me this week:
Fear thou not; for I [am] with thee: be not dismayed; for I [am] thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
Isaiah 41:10
Is that Agent Tim in the first photo on the right?
It’s great to see your presidential endorsements out - Huckabee is incredible, I just wish I could have seen Tancredo at the Washington Briefing. And congratulations on your presidential win ;D
Aren’t seasons interesting? We value them so highly when it comes to weather, enjoying the difference between spring and fall, and talking about how boring it would be if they didn’t change. Yet we often fail to make the comparison to life - we don’t like change. But if it weren’t for seasons there, things would get extremely boring and we’d definitely never see the full of what God has in store for us.
It was incredibly awesome seeing you this weekend, even just for a few days. We’re praying.
Congrats on winning the presidency! You’re right on about Huckabee–he’s spot-on when it comes to the issues, and he’s the best bet conservatives have. I think it would be interesting if you would say why you didn’t go for Ron Paul. I have my reasons, but I’d like to see yours.
That is awesome, Kierstyn! Huckabee has been amazing since the start. I was very pleased that HSLDA endorsed him early on, and it is an absolute miracle that he is now a 1st tier candidate! I am so glad that you support him. After you return from your grassroots break, check out this awesome grassroots network that just started yesterday for Huckabee: www.hucksarmy.com. Talk to you later.
So is Tim on the left or right up there? It’s been so long since I’ve seen a picture of him I’m not even sure!
Praying for you!
(ot: Alex, that could’ve been a blog post and you know it!
)
Oh, and hey, it musta been really cool for you to meet up with Tim too! I think he’s on the left Jake - tis a great picture!
I have been so out of it as far as politics the past 3 months. It probably will continue that way throughout the rest of the school year. This is a change of season in my life. I don’t know exactly where it will lead, though.
Yeah…that’s not me in the picture…you can see the picture (albeit a slightly bad one of me
) right here. It was a pretty wild day…but an Agent can track down anyone, even in a hotel with thousands of people in it.
