Too true. Being self-centered is so easy. Alternatively, being selfless and not thinking for your own benefit is a hard thing. The bad thing about hard things, is that they are *cough* hard *cough*.

A friend recently got "hooked up" with a girl. Surprised that he would do this, I tried to send a message to him and asked when the wedding was going to be. He didn't have an answer. Interestingly, less than a month later I find out the relationship has broken up.

Excellent concluding paragraph. Unfortunately it isn't a one time deal. It is so easy to get off track with our true focus, and instead focus on ourselves. Every day I must evaluate. Every time I do something I must ask myself your question.
