Questions Never Asked Part 2
posted March 12th, 2007 in Culture, Questions Never AskedAbsurdities illustrate themselves once again in the State of Georgia.
Governor Perdue announced that he will sign the bill requiring middle school aged girls to get the HPV vaccine as soon as it gets out of the General Assembly. Simultaneously, the abortion ban (HB1) is still in the House Judiciary Committee.
What is this saying?
We’ll let our youth “go play in traffic” because they’re wearing a helmet. Yet, when it comes to protecting the unborn we turn a blind eye. What are we thinking?
We aren’t thinking. Obviously.
I cannot believe Republicans are pushing this. This is a infringement on OUR RIGHTS.
Wow, Kierstyn. I would have thought that Governor Perdue would not sign a piece of legislation like that. That’s very unfortunate. Does this come as a surprise, considering his past actions?
What are we thinking, indeed? Or, perhaps, what are they thinking?
That’s horrible. But I can’t pretend to be surprised that politicians have their priorities mixed up……
Horrid, yes.
But can we expect any better from an amoral society without a touchstone of God’s law to give purpose and order? We really can’t expect better than this.
;-) We can, however, change it.
“We aren’t thinking. Obviously.”
We are talking about the Government of the State of Georgia. There has never been a more correct statement.
On another note, I just found (refound…) this site today. It is very encouraging to me to there are others out there who look at politics from a Biblical perspective. Keep doing what you are doing and do not let the naysayers make you change your perspectives. Don’t let the pundits get to you. Keep going and achieve great things.
