Judge Judy and Divorce Court are sort of interesting. I almost wonder if the producers are trying to make the same point. Ever seen Cops or Hot Pursuit?

Good point, Kierstyn.
I've not really watched those shows, but have seen a snippet or two here and there, and they really are rather disturbing. ;)
I've wondered the same thing: could these be the typical problems that people who go to court face, or are these people specifically trying to get attention?
Somehow I think it's probably a combination; there are at least enough people out there to get on the shows, even if the problems aren't as common as they appear to be from the prevalence of depraved situations that seem to be desired on court shows. ;)
Your solution is the right one, if not an "easy" one. Simple enough, though, if people would only embrace it. It's just not an easy job getting them to do so.

That's so true - I've only seen these sort of shows a few times, and long ago, but they've always scared me. It becomes even scarier if they really are real people - I'd always thought them just too ridiculous to be true.

Just a note, is it coincidence that the first two shows feature judges with a "j" name?
