The RIGHT stuff…Politically InCorrect

Recently, my mom has been watching alot of “Court” shows. Of course, they all say that it involves “Real people with real problems”. After watching the show, I can see exactly why they say that - the cases presented are absurd!

Just watching these cases makes you wonder where our nation is going, if these are indeed “real people with real problems” or if they are just desperate people wanting to get on national television?

Before we go into anything deeper, the shows that my mom watches everyday as we fold the laundry are:

Judge Judy, Judge Joe Brown and Divorce Court.

Now I have nothing against anyone watching the shows, or the judges themselves. In fact, I don’t have anything against the people that go on the show with their cases. Rather, these cases should provide a wake up call to all level headed Americans. I am reluctant to say that there is anything more disturbing to watch than the decadent way of thinking presented in these trials.

This decadency is the result of the problem. We have been “dumbed down” in our education and thought throughout the last few decades. If these are really “real people with real problems” then the future of America is in over their heads. This decadency in thought and actions can be overcome. However, like Reagan said “There are no easy answers but there are simple answers. We must have the courage to do what we know is morally right.”

The answer to solving this problem isn’t easy, but it is simple. The only way to avoid decadency and decline in thought is to go back to The Word. Then, and only then can we overcome the decadency so prominent in our culture today.

That’s so true - I’ve only seen these sort of shows a few times, and long ago, but they’ve always scared me. It becomes even scarier if they really are real people - I’d always thought them just too ridiculous to be true.

Just a note, is it coincidence that the first two shows feature judges with a “j” name?

    Good point, Kierstyn.
I’ve not really watched those shows, but have seen a snippet or two here and there, and they really are rather disturbing. ;)
I’ve wondered the same thing: could these be the typical problems that people who go to court face, or are these people specifically trying to get attention?
Somehow I think it’s probably a combination; there are at least enough people out there to get on the shows, even if the problems aren’t as common as they appear to be from the prevalence of depraved situations that seem to be desired on court shows. ;)
Your solution is the right one, if not an “easy” one. Simple enough, though, if people would only embrace it. It’s just not an easy job getting them to do so.

Judge Judy and Divorce Court are sort of interesting. I almost wonder if the producers are trying to make the same point. Ever seen Cops or Hot Pursuit?
