The RIGHT stuff…Politically InCorrect

*I find it ironic that the liberals and the media constantly hail separation of church and state as a good and natural way of life. Evidently they don’t bother to sit in on legislative sessions or judicial hearings. In each of these settings there is a blatant acknowledgement of God and Jesus Christ. When the Supreme Court and Congress conviene they start the session with prayer. Not to allah, or budah, or mohammed, but to Jesus Christ. Even in my  State’s General Assembly we open up each session with a 15 minute sermon and prayer.

Alot of people now have the mentality that the “Church” should stay out of the affairs of the “State”. However, if we continue to ignore the fact that we are One Nation Under God and were established as such, we will be - as Reagan put it - One Nation Gone Under.

The fact that even the government - at least the State Government - does acknowledge God on a daily basis leaves one to question just how “offensive” it is to be politically incorrect.

* Posting during session is by no means going to be frequent. The thoughts posted above are strictly those of the author and not the liberal media or General Assembly’s. *

Unless the “In God we trust” printed on all American money is a typo, the obviously isn’t a very good wall between Church and State…

It seems like separation of church and state is only relevant to liberals when it is convenient or particularly advantageous to bring it up. Then, liberals and atheists also don’t want to admit that exclusion of God is NOT necessarily exclusion of religion. Considering atheism and secular humanism are religions in and of themselves, any philosophy, policy, act, etc., deriving from them would have to be excluded from the public square along with those of Christianity. The LACK of God in the public square is/would actually be catering to those who don’t believe in God.

*Not to mention “separation of church and state” as it is often used or defined was not the intent of the founders*

P.S. Kierstyn, did you get my last comment?

It’s interesting to note that separation of Church and State is in fact, a myth.

The myth of separation of Church and State grew out of a letter written to Thomas Jefferson while he was President. The letter was written by clergy, asking if Jefferson was going to declare a “official” state religion, like England and Spain had.

Jefferson’s reply was that, no he was not going to declare an official state religion, that “There shall be a high and impenetrable wall between the State and the Church.” In the Supreme Court ruling that removed God from our schools, the Justices went against all precedent, citing a single line from the letter Thomas Jefferson had written as “proof” that the founding fathers wouldn’t have wanted God in our schools, despite the fact that the letter was written with the intent to protect the Church from the State, not vice versa.

In response to Mr. Drye, the reason we have “In God we trust” on our money is BECAUSE this “wall of separation” is a recent development. For the past 40 years liberals have been fanatically trying to remove all traces of God from the public square, secure in the knowledge that once it’s gone, the “wall of separation” coupled with judicial precedent, will prevent it from easily taking root once more.

Thanks, Kierstyn. You are linked from Kingdom Advancing now. It took me awhile because I didn’t realize you put me under “Advancing His Kingdom.” (My blog’s official title is “Kingdom Advancing.”) It wouldn’t be a big deal, except that I’ve seen at least one other blog called “Advancing His Kingdom.” (”Kingdom Advancing” is original so far. :D )

Liberals! The nerve, how on God’s great earth do they not realize that this country is about how our freedom is only possible when we a believe that Jesus Christ died for our sins.

    Hey, Kierstyn, me again.

I wanted to tell you and your readers about an urgent issue in the entertainment industry concerning me. It’s an issue that needs to be talked about, prayed about, and acted upon. Here’s a link to the article:
    http://kingdomadvancing.blogspot.com/2007/01/wrong-in-so-many-ways.html

I think it would be a good thing if you could make link this article from a post. I know you’re busy, so I’ll understand if you can’t. But this is not about making my blog popular, so don’t worry. It’s about protecting a little girl (actress Dakota Fanning) and standing up for what’s right, decent, moral, and appropriate.
